Syrian TV reported today, Sunday, that Israel launched - this evening, Sunday - "an aggression that targeted the Shayrat military airport in the countryside of Homs, which led to the killing of two soldiers and wounding of 3 others, in addition to causing material losses."

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said that the air defenses repelled and shot down a number of Israeli missiles that targeted the sky of the southeastern countryside of Homs, and published video footage of the attack.

Over the past years, the Israeli army has carried out hundreds of raids on targets in Syria, including military and civilian airports in Damascus, Aleppo and the port of Latakia. Former Israeli officials pledged to continue operations, which they say are aimed at preventing Iran from establishing its military presence in Syria.
