Thom Thavenius, deputy head of security at SVT, has himself worked within both Säpo and the Swedish Armed Forces.

He fears that the information the two brothers are suspected of selling to Russian intelligence could have undermined years of intelligence work.

- If Russian military intelligence has had access to the state of knowledge within Swedish counter-espionage when it comes to, for example, mapping of the GRU's (Russian intelligence) activities in Europe, it could set the work back several years.
