It is reported by The Washington Post with reference to the IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.

“I am concerned about the deepening fragmentation of the global economy, which could leave us in a poorer and more insecure world.

I lived through the first cold war.

Starting a second one is an irresponsible idea, ”she said.

Georgieva noted that if the confrontation escalates, the global economy will shrink by 1.5% or more than $1.4 trillion year on year.

Earlier, the Global Times wrote that the United States seeks to benefit from the Ukrainian crisis in all respects, in particular by weakening European countries.

According to Senator Alexei Pushkov, the United States is deliberately harming the EU economy in order to gain political control over Brussels.

Former Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte expressed confidence that the strategic interests of the EU should not be reduced to the benefit of the United States.
