Ukraine's Foreign Minister: Moscow is playing a "hunger game" with the world

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba urged Southeast Asian countries to provide political and material support to his country in its war against Russia, while accusing Moscow on Saturday of playing a "hunger game" with the world by halting shipments of Ukrainian grain and other agricultural products.

Kuleba told reporters on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit that with Ukraine's grain and fertilizer export agreement expiring on November 19, the world needs to pressure Russia not to object to its extension, saying that Ukrainian products are very important in Africa and Asia.

Kuleba also accused Russian inspectors of failing to allow the shipments to pass through.

He said that Russia should not only "remain part of the initiative, but also instruct its inspectors to act in good faith and avoid any measures and any steps that create obstacles and impede the export of Ukrainian agricultural commodities to the world market."

"Russia must stop playing the hunger game with the world," he added.
