The Israeli army announced that one of its military bases in the occupied Syrian Golan was stormed and large quantities of weapons and ammunition were stolen from it on Friday evening.

And the occupation army stated - in a military statement - that "the al-Sanoub base was stormed by unknown persons and seized large quantities of weapons and ammunition."

And Israeli media reported that the army - in cooperation with the police and the General Security Service - was investigating the theft of "about 70,000 bullets and 70 hand grenades."

The occupation fears that these weapons and ammunition will go to armed groups of the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank.

The occupation forces, police and border guards are combing and searching the area in search of stolen ammunition.

It is noteworthy that last month, the Israeli army announced the storming of the "Sde Timan" base in the Negev region and the theft of about 30,000 rifle bullets.
