China News Service, Hong Kong, November 10 (Reporter Suo Youwei) As a special project of the "Greater Bay Area Cultural Relics and Architecture Summit Forum" being held in Hong Kong, the "Virtual and Real Traces - Cultural Relics, Technology and Historical Sites" exhibition will be held in Hong Kong on the 10th. The City Hall is launched, and the exhibition uses innovative technology to show the aesthetic essence of Hong Kong's historical buildings.

  The exhibition consists of four exhibition areas, presenting 25 characteristic historical buildings in Hong Kong in three dimensions. Visitors can travel through them to see the ingenious structures of historical buildings in virtual reality. Knowledge of cultural relic conservation, and fun tours of historical sites in the exhibition venue.

  The "Black Box of Cultural Relics" exhibition area selects four historical buildings with their own characteristics, including the Church of the Immaculate Conception, the main building of Tung Wah Hospital, the Synagogue of Leah, and the former French Mission Building, using virtual reality (VR). Make visitors feel like they are in it.

Because the historical building entity is not open to the public, visitors can take a full and in-depth tour through the exhibition.

  The "Interactive Heritage Corridor" exhibition area allows visitors to freely select 3D images and videos of 16 historic buildings, including 14 declared monuments and a Grade I historic building, St. Mary's Church, and a Grade II historic building, the Po Leung Kuk Main Building.

Viewers can zoom in, zoom out, and even rotate the image to take a closer look at the architectural beauty of the monument from different angles.

  The "Leying Ancient 'Story'" exhibition area uses toy bricks to build models of three newly-graded declared monuments, including the Islamic Hall of Worship, Lui Shengchun and the Hong Kong City Hall, using Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Visitors design a unique group photo with the monument.

  The exhibition also features a virtual secret room game. Visitors need to use their knowledge of heritage conservation to complete the task of "freezing" the two declared monuments of Tung Wah Yizhuang and Bonham Road Government Primary School within the specified time.

  The exhibition will officially open to the public on the 11th.

  It is understood that Hong Kong is rich in historical and cultural relics resources. In terms of historical buildings alone, there are 114 historical buildings listed as statutory monuments and about 1,200 historical buildings that have received administrative grading.
