The government plans to consider a tax increase as it is necessary to secure permanent financial resources, and the discussion is expected to get into full swing toward the end of the year.

Prime Minister Kishida said at a meeting of experts on the 9th that it is important to strengthen national power as a whole, along with high confidence in economic and fiscal sustainability and industrial competitiveness. I instructed Finance Minister Suzuki to draw conclusions on next fiscal year's budget compilation and tax reform.



With regard to defense spending, the government plans to drastically strengthen its defense capabilities over the next five years. That's what I'm saying.
