The desire to take revenge with his wife for a quarrel that took place shortly before.

This would be the reason why a man tried to blow up a gas cylinder in the house.

The woman noticed it and fled with her children, but her husband chased her in the car trying to run over her.

It happened in Quistello, a town in the lower Mantua area.

The man, a 39-year-old local, was blocked and arrested by the carabinieri on charges of attempted murder, mistreatment in the family, illegal carrying of objects capable of offending and driving under the influence.

The arrest was then validated by the investigating judge and now the man is in prison in Mantua.

According to what was reconstructed by the carabinieri, the man, during the quarrel with his wife, armed with a large knife, would have placed a LPG cylinder in the living room of the house and opened the safety valve.

The wife, including her husband's intentions, managed to escape with her children, all minors, and to contact 112. The man chased her in a car, attempting several times to run over her as she fled on foot.

The intervention of several carabinieri patrols was necessary to block it.
