  • Follow I follow

After the decision is before the competition:

On day one after Frankfurt Mayor Peter Feldmann was voted out of office, everything was the same as ever and at the same time nothing was the same as before.

Local and state politicians, when asked to comment on the subject, often used the word “relieved” as if they had agreed;

the SPD politician Feldmann, elected ten years ago, confirmed in 2018 and asked to leave in 2023 by a good 200,000 voters, may have had a ringing ear.

Meanwhile, the Frankfurt CDU has already presented for the upcoming mayoral campaign.

She is going into the race with her chairman Uwe Becker.

Becker, who is currently State Secretary for Europe in Hesse, has announced that he will give up his candidacy as party chairman. The change is to take place at a party conference on November 26;

Becker would like to hand over to Nils Kößler,

the CDU parliamentary group leader in the Römer.

The other parties want to nominate their candidates in the next few days and weeks.

Colleagues report to the Rhein-Main-Zeitung who is in the discussion.

Legal drug:

Anyone who has ever seen balloons or cream chargers or both lying around in a party district and wondered: they are probably remnants of youthful longing for intoxication.

More and more adolescents are inhaling nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, which is contained, for example, in freely available cream chargers;

either directly or by first pouring the gas into a balloon and then inhaling it.

Laughing gas sounds funny, but it's not.

The high that the inhale induces is intense and short, less than a minute long.

Nevertheless, it is very dangerous and can lead to serious organ damage.

Anika Würz writes about this and about the ecological component that the phenomenon also has.

Extremely embarrassing

: The University of Giessen has withdrawn the doctorate from Marburg law professor and CDU MEP Sven Simon.

A plagiarism hunter had previously raised serious allegations.

As the university announced on Monday, the doctoral committee of the Faculty of Law came to the conclusion that Simon, when preparing his dissertation entitled "Liberalization of services of general interest in WTO and EU law" from 2009, "to a significant extent intentionally deceived".

He did not sufficiently disclose the use of third-party texts by citing sources.

In view of the seriousness of the violations, the title should be revoked.

Simon defends himself, among other things he refers to professors who defended him.

Sascha Zoske reports.

And in addition

, the Hessian education budget with the double budget 2023/2024 should exceed the limit of five billion euros for the first time, among other things, several thousand new teaching positions are planned +++ in Hesse a sheep was once again torn by a wolf, the animal was killed at Ober- Mörlen found in Wetteraukreis +++ Eintracht Frankfurt will meet top Italian club SSC Naples in the round of 16 of the Champions League.

Warm greetings from the editorial team
