Theodor Engström, 33, is charged with terrorist crimes after the murder of Sweden's psychiatry coordinator Ing-Marie Wieselgren during the Almedal Week this summer.

Another planned target was Center leader Annie Lööf, who is also a plaintiff in the trial that begins this week.

SVT has been able to show new images that reveal how Theodor Engström was close to Annie Lööf during the politicians' week in Almedalen in 2014 as well as in 2017.

- It shows a persistence in the fixation regarding her, says chamber prosecutor Henrik Olin when he gets to see the pictures for the first time.

Theodor Engström has said himself that he was armed with a knife even before in Almedalen, what do you think about that?

- It is difficult to draw any conclusions about whether he had intended to carry out something on these occasions.

You can also see in the pictures that there is bodyguard protection in connection with Annie Lööf and they are trained to handle situations like this, says Henrik Olin and continues:

- The fact that you are close to politicians or high-ranking people in society is a bit of a sign of politicians' week, it is not remarkable in itself.

But it is clear that it is interesting from the assessment that he then chooses to go from thought to action precisely in Almedalen.
