Four days after the election, Center leader Annie Lööf announced her resignation.

Now the party announces which candidates are current for the vacant post, during a press conference at 11 a.m. on Monday.

It has already been known that Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist, the party's economic policy person, Member of Parliament Helena Lindahl and MEP Emma Weisner are among the nominees.

SVT has previously reported that several center party members have publicly said that they want to see Helena Lindahl as the new party leader after Lööf.

They mean above all that the party is stuck in a value-driven course, far from the party's roots, something several representatives around the country have highlighted in a debate article in Svenska Dagbladet, among other things.
