A festival with a multiple soul that aims to bring together different artists, places, audiences and activities to create a single, large and harmonious

Symphony

creative.

Barezzi Festival returns for its sixteenth edition, from 8 to 12 November in Parma and its province.

As always, the festival presents a very rich and articulated musical program: from the elegant songwriting of Daniele Silvestri to that of Motta and Raphael Gualazzi.

And then international artists of great charisma and vision such as Roger Eno, Stochelo Rosemberg Trio and the Peter Kernel, the young and promising musical talents of Leo Gassman, Anna Bassy and Turè Muschio, original and histrionic musicians such as Pierpaolo Capovilla, Gerardo Balestrieri and Django's Fingers Trio and overwhelming projects all to dance to such as Voilaaa Sound System, Dov'è Liana and Tonico 70. Barezzi Festival - which takes its name from the father-in-law and first patron of Giuseppe Verdi - this year then extends over time to host another extraordinary concert,

The title of this edition is

Sinfonia

, a term that identifies a composition in which heterogeneous elements and instruments are arranged harmoniously.

A concept that makes complexity a virtue and a strength and that well symbolizes the kaleidoscopic soul of Barezzi Festival.

This is why the review is divided into a series of projects that flank the concerts on the main stages of the festival.

Starting with

Barezzi Off

, thanks to which the best of Italian independent music and beyond will be on the stages of the Ridotto of the Teatro Regio and Borgo Santa Brigida.

And then the

Barezzi Lab project

at the Verdi Theater in Busseto on 8 and 9 November, which welcomes many high school students from the provinces of Parma and Piacenza among the public, which aims to give new light, atmospheres, sounds and suggestions to the pieces by Giuseppe Verdi, reread according to the multiple languages of contemporaneity from some of the most valid musical projects of the Italian music scene: Glomarì, Davide Ognibene, Anna Castiglia, Emanuele Nidi, Leanò and Rossana De Pace.

To introduce them, the host Diego Sorba in the role of SorBarezzi.

Barezzi Evergreen

instead sees the young students of the “Arrigo Boito” conservatory in Parma as protagonists, who reinterpret songs from the repertoire of some of the guest artists of the festival, in a virtuous encounter between symphonic music and pop music.

With

Barezzi Snug

, scheduled for 11 and 12 November, you will then travel to discover the flavors of Parma through lunches in the taverns and cafes of the historic center of the city accompanied by the music of Pagoda, William Manera, Francesco Pelosi, Martino Adriani, Rocco Rosignoli and Davide Brienza.

Finally,

Barezzi Cafè

, the infopoint full of surprises of the festival in the Caffè of the Teatro Regio in Parma.

This year Barezzi Festival, in addition to the usual musical and cultural contamination, is enriched with a further "symphonic" element: the places.

In fact, the concerts will be held in prestigious locations, such as the Teatro Regio di Parma, as well as in splendid small theaters, in concert halls and clubs, involving not only the city of Parma but also its province, arriving in Busseto and Fidenza.
