On Monday, the Social Democrats and the Christian Democrats announced that together they aim to govern Vindeln's municipality in the coming term.

- I think we are the second last municipality in the county to decide, but we have had a good collaboration with KD and V during the past term, now the left has announced that they are going into opposition, says Mattias Haglund (S).

Empty seat gives 50 percent

Together, the two parties have 15 out of a total of 31 mandates.

As the Sweden Democrats have an empty seat in the municipality, this means that 15 mandates are half of the mandates.

Despite the fact that they do not have their own majority, Haglund believes that it is possible to steer the municipality forward even if the Left Party dropped out of the collaboration.

- Of course, we have disagreed on a number of issues in the last mandate period, but handled it with respect.

I think we will work well together in the future as well, says Haglund (S).

The new board will be nailed down at the electoral council held in Vindeln on November 28.
