In the past two days, the International Freedom Flotilla Coalition held a meeting in the British capital, London, to discuss the flotilla's mission for the year 2023, which aims to challenge and break the illegal and inhumane Israeli naval blockade on the Gaza Strip.

The organizers of the "Freedom Fleet" coalition said that the meeting was held under the auspices of the Palestinian Forum in Britain.

The meeting included representatives of the international coalition in Sweden, Norway, France, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, Malaysia, Turkey, Canada, the United States and South Africa, in addition to the International Committee for Breaking the Siege on Gaza.

In addition to a number of solidarity institutions with Palestine, most notably "Miles of Smiles", the "Islamic Association in Britain", the "British Solidarity Campaign with Palestine", and the "People's Conference for Palestinians Abroad".

The attendees affirmed their support for the coalition's efforts to break the siege on Gaza, expressing their readiness to contribute to a number of parallel events aimed at reminding Gaza of suffering and the need to end the crime of the siege.

Zaher Birawi, head of the International Committee for Breaking the Siege on Gaza, a founding member of the Freedom Flotilla, said that the coalition will resume its efforts to challenge the illegal, immoral and inhumane blockade imposed on the Strip, especially the naval blockade.

The most famous of these cruises were those carried out by the "Freedom Fleet 1" in May 2010, when it was subjected to a fierce attack by the Israeli navy, which led to the killing of 10 Turkish solidarity activists who were on board the Mavi Marmara ship, and dozens of other solidarity activists were injured. .
