The death of a one-year-old Lebanese child, who was refused treatment by hospitals, sparked outrage in the Lebanese street and on social media platforms.

The story began when the condition of the Lebanese child, Asaad Mustafa Ezz El-Din, deteriorated, so his father, who works in the military in the security forces, rushed to Auda Hospital in Arsal to treat his sick son.

But the hospital for maternity affairs, according to the newspaper, "Al-Nahar", quoted the child's family, "has limited equipment that did not enable him to rescue his son."

According to the newspaper, "due to the child's deteriorating condition, his father transferred him to Dar Al-Amal University Hospital, where he was received in the emergency room only, without entering the neonatal intensive care room, although he was facing difficulty, and the hospital insisted that there was no bed in the care room." .

The newspaper added that "the father's attempts to save his son by paying sums of money did not succeed, and the child lost consciousness amid the impossibility of securing a care bed, forcing him to transfer his child to Baalbek Governmental Hospital, which told him that the appropriate equipment was not available, and then he moved to Rayak General Hospital, and the child Ezz died. debt before it reaches it.

The issue of the death of the child, Asaad, topped the discussion of activists and bloggers in Lebanon, amid strong condemnation and anger, and widespread dissatisfaction with the situation experienced by medical institutions and hospitals in the country.
