  Luo Li, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Liaoning Provincial Government and President of the Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Kakumi Katae, Consul General of Japan in Shenyang, and Yoshiyuki Harada, Vice President of the Shenyang Japanese Association, delivered speeches at the event and unveiled the tree planting monument for the 50th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations. .

  Luo Li said that since the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan 50 years ago, the exchanges and cooperation between Liaoning and Japan in the fields of economy, trade, people-to-people and cultural engagement, and sister cities have all been at the forefront and achieved fruitful results.

In the future, we will further strengthen the friendly relationship between the two sides, expand cooperation channels, and continue to increase the number of sister cities between Liaoning and Japan.

It is hoped that these cherry trees can carry the Sino-Japanese friendship and grow vigorously, and the pragmatic cooperation between Liaoning and Japan can bloom as beautiful and splendid as the cherry blossoms.

  Katae said that the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries should be taken as an opportunity to further consolidate the foundation of Japan-China relations.

In the future, we will work with the Provincial Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries to further promote mutual understanding between the people of the two countries, enhance mutual feelings through friendly exchange activities, and promote Japan-China exchanges to a new level.
