A high mountain guide died in an avalanche that occurred this Friday morning at the Font Sancte peak, in the Sainte-Anne valley, above the town of Ceillac in the Hautes-Alpes, learned

This guide was in the company of another mountaineer when a plate broke off, carrying the victim in its path.
The second climber then gave the alert at 11.30 am.
Dispatched to the spot in particularly difficult and technical access conditions, the emergency services found the death of the mountaineer at 1:30 p.m.
An investigation was opened by the Gap prosecutor and entrusted to the Briançon PGHM.
