He said this in an interview with Česká televize 24. He was asked if he considered it possible to start a nuclear war against the backdrop of alleged Russian threats to use nuclear weapons.

Zelensky said he was “not sure” and “does not want to give an assessment.”

“I believe that there is no need to be afraid of this, there is no need to be afraid of Russia,” he said.

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that at the official level and in the media in Western countries there is a "pumping" of the topic of nuclear weapons.

On October 27, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that Russia does not need a nuclear strike on Ukraine, it makes no political or military sense.

On October 11, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Western countries are trying to introduce nuclear rhetoric into circulation, although Russia does not threaten anyone with the use of nuclear weapons.
