The classic socialist feminists see the PSOE's amendments to the Trans Law as "unacceptable" because they are insufficient, the same ones that Irene Montero, promoter of the project, judges excessive, and asks that they be withdrawn by the socialist parliamentary group.

The women grouped in the association of socialist feminists FeMeS, led by Amelia Valcárcel, philosopher, organic intellectual of the PSOE and member of the Council of State, criticize that the project "does not require any legal requirement for the change of sex for the section of older people of 16 years", and they assure in a statement that "there is no legal guarantee in this process".

"We will go from opacity in the preparation of a bill, without listening to health and education professionals, or families already affected by trans social contagion, or the feminist movement, to a gag imposed on all citizens" , point out in FeMeS, referring to the penalties that the project provides for those who question the gender of trans and transition people, which would be "a hindrance to freedom of expression, one of the foundations of democracy", has pointed out Valcácel.

The classic socialist feminists, confronted with the so-called 'queer doctrine' embodied by the faction that does support the project, point out that the amendments that they have sent to the socialist group have been "ignored", and they deny that those that do have been presented by the PSOE to extend rights, as party spokesmen have affirmed.

Thus, in its statement it is stated that they are "no right or gender self-determination, nor the feeling and self-perception of taxes, nor perpetuate gender stereotypes in education."

They also believe that approving this project is "political irresponsibility", and they ask the Government of Pedro Sánchez "to open a period of appearances not conditioned by any imposed calendar urgency, to listen to experts in the psychosocial, health and education, listen to experts in the psychosocial, health and educational fields, and listen to the mothers and fathers of children who have suffered this social trend induced by the darkest economic and patriarchal interests and listen to us feminists prior to approval."
