During the 31st session of the Arab Summit, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said that the Arab Summit is being held under extremely complex regional and international circumstances and crises in our Arab world, and that the Arab world and the international community are facing grave internal and external challenges that threaten international peace and security.

"We have to build an Arab economic bloc that preserves our common interests and focuses on achieving a quick positive impact," he added.

Regarding the Palestinian issue, Tebboune explained that "Palestine remains the first issue for the Arabs. We must redouble efforts to mobilize international support for the Palestinian people to enable them to stand firm."

"We renew our adherence to the Arab Peace Initiative with all its elements as a basis for reviving the peace process," he added.

Tebboune suggested "establishing an Arab Communications Committee in order to mobilize international support for the Palestinian cause," adding, "We are ready to call on the General Assembly to grant the State of Palestine full membership in the United Nations."

Tebboune invited "the brothers in Libya, Syria and Yemen to dialogue in order to reach internal consensus solutions."
