The United Nations: We seek to avoid a food crisis in a number of countries around the world

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stressed, during his speech at the 31st Arab Summit in Algiers today, Tuesday, that the world is facing a major crisis due to divisions.

He explained that the United Nations supports the peace process and the end of the Israeli occupation with regard to the Palestinian file.

Regarding the Ukraine crisis, Guterres said: "We call for the restoration of the grain agreement between Russia and Ukraine to avoid a food crisis in a number of countries of the world."

He pointed out that the climate summit will represent an opportunity to agree on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and for countries to abide by what they have pledged.
