The First Committee of the UN General Assembly adopted a draft resolution of Russia on not being the first to place weapons in space

According to TASS, 123 delegations supported the document, 50 opposed it, and four countries abstained.

Now the draft will be considered by the General Assembly of the Whole in December.

Another 18 states acted as co-sponsors.

Earlier it was reported that Russia and a number of UN countries were in favor of negotiations to prevent an arms race in space.
