He recalled that the goal of Kyiv in the conflict is the return of all territories that previously belonged to Ukraine, that is, their rejection from Russia.

Medvedev explained that this means a threat to the existence of Russia.

“And that means a direct reason for the application of paragraph 19 of the Fundamentals of the State Policy of the Russian Federation in the field of nuclear deterrence,” said the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council in his Telegram channel.

According to Medvedev, Western countries are pushing the world towards a global war.

“And only the complete and final victory of Russia is a guarantee against a world conflict,” he concluded.

Earlier, Medvedev called the words of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that Russia's victory in the conflict in Ukraine will be the defeat of the North Atlantic Alliance, confirmation of NATO's participation in the war against Russia.

In turn, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya noted that the North Atlantic Alliance only needs an escalation of the conflict as a way to achieve its cherished plan - to defeat or at least weaken Russia.
