Joint Coordination Centre: Vessels under the Black Sea Food Initiative will be disrupted for the first time on November 2

On November 1, local time, the United Nations Secretariat of the Joint Coordination Center for the Black Sea Food Outflow issued a statement saying that the delegations of Ukraine, Turkey and the United Nations agreed that no ships will be arranged to sail under the Black Sea Food Initiative on November 2.

This is the first time that the Joint Coordination Center has interrupted the sailing of ships since the implementation of the Black Sea Grain Outbound Agreement.

United Nations and Turkish inspectors completed inspections of 36 vessels departing from Ukraine that day, the statement said.

All inspection reports will be shared with Russian and Ukrainian delegations.

The statement mentioned that Amir Abdullah, coordinator of the United Nations Black Sea Food Initiative, and the Turkish delegation are making every effort to allow all parties to continue to participate fully in the Black Sea Food Initiative.

The joint focal point can best carry out its mandate with the full and active participation of all Quartet delegations.
