“In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy, with forces of up to two battalion tactical groups, reinforced by foreign mercenaries, launched seven unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Russian troops,” the ministry said in a statement.
Attempts to attack the positions were made in the areas of the settlements of Pershotravneve, Orlyanka, Tabaevka and Berestovoye of the Kharkov region.
As a result, the troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were thrown back to their starting lines with the support of artillery and aviation, the enemy suffered losses of up to 250 people killed.
Earlier, Russian troops repulsed the attacks of Ukrainian militants in the Nikolaev-Krivoy Rog direction.
On October 29, the Russian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk direction defeated reinforced companies of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
