Stremousov explained that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were gathering troops into the region, including many foreign mercenaries.
“But our army is also gathering forces,” he stressed.
He added that at the moment the situation on the front line is under control.
Earlier, Stremousov said that the Russian military repelled the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Bruskinskoe.
He also said that Russian troops are holding the line in the Kherson region, all attempts by Ukrainian troops to break through are being thwarted.
