She added that the programming language should be taught only as a profile.
“As a subject of additional education, but not as mandatory for everyone.
This should be done by children who have the appropriate ability and desire to do programming.
And before changing anything, we first need to discuss this proposal with the parent and pedagogical community - how much, in their opinion, do children need this profile, ”concluded the parliamentarian.
Earlier, the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Pavel Krupnik proposed to revise the school course of computer science and supplement it with the study of programming languages for all educational institutions.
