This is a new twist in this case.

The Spanish prosecution initially requested two years in prison and a ten million euro fine against Neymar.

In the middle of the trial, the prosecutor withdrew his charges.

Believing that there is not "

the slightest suspicion of crime

".

Justice sought to determine whether the Brazilian investment company DIS, holder at the time of 40% of the player's rights, was indeed defrauded, as assured by its leaders, the plaintiffs in this case.

They claim they were wronged in Neymar's transfer between Santos and Barca.

The three parties allegedly concealed the real amount of the operation, according to the DIS.

Announced in Catalonia in May 2013 for an official amount of 51.7 million euros, the transfer had alerted the Spanish tax authorities, who consider that the transfer was, in reality, around 107 million euros, bonus included.

This case of tax evasion had already been the subject of several amicable agreements.

This time, release required for all the accused, from the family of Neymar who had played the matchmaker, to the leaders of the two clubs in question.

Judgment will be delivered on Monday, October 31.
