The Department of Public Services in Ras Al Khaimah reduced the temperatures in four public parks, in order to attract visitors throughout the year to enjoy the natural atmosphere, through the application of four environmental standards, by using the mechanism of spraying the atmosphere with water mist, and shading specific seating areas with sunscreens, The use of fans to change the air, and the use of paints that reduce the degree of sunlight in the places designated for sitting.

The department said that the high temperatures limit residents from going to public parks, but its use of technology contributed to a number of visitors visiting the parks in the summer, in light of the high temperature, as environmental standards were applied in four public parks in Ras Al Khaimah, which is the Qawasim Corniche. Wadi Shawka Dam, Jebel Jais Platform and Bear Grylls Adventure Camp.

In addition, the department’s Raqeb patrols issued 5,357 environmental violations from January until the end of last September, including 2,041 violations of passing the toll gate without the traffic tariff card, 1,134 violations of throwing or leaving dirt in public squares, and 1,078 violations of setting fires or barbecuing on public spaces. Land directly in public places is not allowed.
