news of the day

The pro-Russian power affirms it: the evacuation of Kherson, a city located in the south of Ukraine and which had 288,000 inhabitants before the war, is now complete.

“The work organizing the departure of the inhabitants of the left bank of the Dnipro river to safe regions in Russia has been completed”, indicates a leader of Crimea, territory neighboring Kherson, annexed in 2014 by the Russians.

According to pro-Russian authorities, around 70,000 people left their homes in less than a week.

The inhabitants sheltered, the street battle will be able to begin.

Russia had seized the city at the start of the conflict.

The Ukrainian army is preparing to fight hard to recover it.

The number of the day

300,000.

Like the number of reservists mobilized for the war in Ukraine, according to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

An operation carried out in just over a month, still according to the Russian authorities.

Of this overall strength, 41,000 soldiers are deployed in military units on the Ukrainian front.

Nearly 218,000 reservists are trained in the country before leaving for the battlefield, while 41,000 other fighters receive training directly on Ukrainian territory.

The announcement of the mobilization on September 21 led to an exodus of part of the population, fleeing the call to fight.

Vladimir Putin thanked the reservists mobilized for their "patriotism"

sentence of the day

If he has no intention, why does he keep talking about... the ability to use a tactical nuclear weapon?

»

Faced with Moscow's declarations on nuclear weapons, Joe Biden does not believe in bluffing.

The American president is annoyed to hear Vladimir Putin's threats.

“He was very dangerous in the way he approached the issue.

He can end it all.

Leave Ukraine”, urges the American president.

After agitating the threat of nuclear weapons to respond to the "dirty bomb" of the Ukrainians, the Russian head of state relativized his remarks during a speech on Thursday.

Putin considered that his statements were only a response to threats from the opposing camp.

The trend

The Russian strikes continue their undermining work.

“Unprecedented” electricity restrictions are expected “in the coming days” in the kyiv region, due to extensive damage inflicted on the country's energy system by recent Russian strikes.

“Unfortunately, more severe and longer cuts will be implemented in the coming days,” Ukrainian operator DTEK announced on Facebook on Friday.
