When SVT contacts the Chinese embassy in Stockholm about the Chinese police station, the embassy's press service writes that the "police stations" do not exist.

Instead, they believe that the so-called "police stations" around the world are only businesses with administrative functions.

“As far as we know, the so-called 'police stations' you mentioned are actually Chinese service centers.

They have never engaged in 'policing'.

Their job is to provide voluntary assistance to Chinese citizens abroad, for example with the renewal of driver's licenses," writes the embassy's press service.

But SVT has visited such a station.

According to information to SVT, this should be located in a hotel in Stockholm that opened a year ago.

The hotel is owned by a Chinese family.
