The fire broke out shortly after midnight in the garage of the house located in Chatuzange-le-Goubet (Drôme).

The two victims quickly found themselves trapped in a room.

The young woman contacted an operator from the departmental fire and rescue operational center with whom she stayed on the line for more than twenty minutes.

The latter advised them to caulk the door of the room in which they were, to lie down on the ground and to put a cloth on their face to avoid breathing smoke.

Slightly burned, but conscious

The firefighters finally managed to rescue the mother and daughter who were conscious, but slightly burned and intoxicated by the fumes.

They were taken to hospital.

An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the fire.

The accident track would be privileged.
