In the spring of 2020, the then 19-year-old Annie ended up at the same party as the Nytorgsmannen.

When she woke up the next morning, Annie's friend noticed that something was not right.

- She said: "What have you done?

You have a huge hole in your pants.”

Annie then noticed that someone had cut a hole in the crotch of her pants.

She called her mother, who reported the incident to the police two weeks later.

Two notifications in four months

While the crime against Annie was being investigated, the police received another report about the Nytorgsmannen.

In September 2020, his ex-girlfriend reported him for serious breach of peace.

Within the space of four months, there were two reports of serious crimes against two different women which the police investigated.

After the ex-girlfriend's report was received by the police, it took seven weeks before the Nytorg man was arrested on suspicion of several cases of rape.

That's when the police got access to the videos of abuse on the man's mobile phone.

During the seven weeks he sexually assaulted another woman, for which he was later convicted.

- It is clear that I wish we had brought him in earlier.

But we didn't know, says Rima Almadeh, civil criminal investigator.

Today, the Nytorg man is convicted of seven rapes, including the one on Annie and his ex-girlfriend.

He was also convicted of gross breach of the peace against his ex-girlfriend.

In total, he is convicted of crimes against 19 different women.

Annie is actually called something else.
