Russian President Vladimir Putin conducts nuclear exercises for Russian troops at the Kremlin.

While listening to reports from the Chief of Staff of the Russian Army, President Putin directly observed the nuclear exercises, including missile launches, through video from the situation room.

The Kremlin said the Russian military conducted strategic deterrence training on land, sea and air on the 26th local time, and launched ballistic and cruise missiles.

Russia's Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said, "We have conducted training to launch a large-scale nuclear attack in response to an enemy nuclear attack."

The Russian Defense Ministry explained that during the exercise, the Iskander tactical ballistic cruise missile, the Zircon hypersonic missile and the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile were launched.

Russia has recently reiterated its claim that Ukraine is trying to use 'dirty balm'.

Dirty Bomb is a bomb that combines nuclear material with a conventional bomb. It is an inhumane weapon that can cause widespread radioactive contamination although it is weaker than a nuclear bomb.

[Dmitry Peskov/Russian Kremlin Spokesperson: Russia will take strong measures.
