Renfe has opened an internal investigation to find out what happened last Monday when the inspector of a train that made the journey between Barcelona and León made a group of 22 children and their two monitors get off in Palencia due to complaints from travelers about the behavior of minors.

The 22 children, between 10 and 11 years old, and their two monitors came from an educational center in Catalonia who were traveling to a town in León to participate in an English course and were transferred from Palencia to León in a bus enabled by Renfe.

As reported to EFE by the Renfe delegation in Castilla y León,

the children were accompanied and guarded at all times by the National Police, Renfe personnel

and the Government's sub-delegate in Palencia, Ángel Miguel, who traveled on the bus to Lion.

The group of schoolchildren was traveling with two monitors on the Long Distance train from Barcelona Sants to León and all of them were taken off the train in Palencia due to complaints from travelers along the way, due to the noise and the behavior of the minors .

Faced with this situation, the Train Controller, making use of his faculties, decided to get the group off at the Palencia station.

As Renfe has explained, given this decision, the company mobilized from there to set up an exclusive coach for all of them, to complete their trip to León from Palencia in the best possible way.

The company has assured that it

is the first time that a measure of these characteristics has been taken on a Renfe train, which is

absolutely exceptional, which is why the company has opened an internal investigation to clarify the facts.

"It is the first time that something like this has happened with a group of minors and the first thing is to know what really happened before making any decision," they have pointed out from the railway operator.

They have also assured that as it is a group of children, and therefore minors, Renfe has treated this situation with the greatest possible sensitivity.

Speaking to TV3, the director of the school, Alba Saumell, said that they were surprised by the "excessive attitude" of the inspector to make them go down.

"We know our students and what we can say is that we are surprised: what have they done to be expelled from a train?", She added.

In Renfe's incident, the facts are described stating that "22 children and two monitors are dropped off in Palencia for causing inconvenience and inconveniencing the rest of the passengers who repeatedly complain about their attitude."

The text ensures that

"the monitors are spoken to so that they redirect their uncivil behavior, ignoring the repeated warnings and notices"

, and it is stated that they travel without the mask.
