Shaken since January by a scandal targeting its practices, the group of private nursing homes Orpea announced on Wednesday that it had opened a new amicable conciliation procedure before the Nanterre commercial court in order to renegotiate its debt with its creditors.

In the turmoil since the release in January of a book-investigation, the group of private nursing homes Orpea announced on Wednesday that it had opened a new amicable conciliation procedure before the Nanterre commercial court in order to renegotiate its debt with its creditors.

"The company is too indebted due to the international and real estate development carried out at a frantic pace, on the initiative of the former general management", explained to AFP its new general manager, Laurent Guillot.

The group had already benefited this year from a first amicable conciliation procedure which had made it possible to reach a financing agreement but which it risks no longer being able to respect.
