The Sweden Democrats were described as the big winners when the government and the party presented the so-called Tidö Agreement.

SD got through a series of proposals, above all in migration policy.

It is about the migration policy being adapted to the minimum level of EU legislation, among other things the number of quota refugees is greatly reduced and the conditions for family reunification and family immigration are tightened.

Annie Lööf (C) describes the migration policy in the Tidö Agreement as "reactionary".

- Rights for asylum seekers such as the right to an interpreter or public assistance are removed, the opportunity for parents to see their children again is curtailed, and completely new legislation is introduced regarding deportation due to lack of good conduct.

It's a general consensus, and I find that consensus extremely uncomfortable.

We need to make a lot of changes in migration policy, but we must not throw humanity overboard, says Annie Lööf.

Jimme Åkesson believes that the government and SD have no other choice but to adapt to the EU's minimum level.

- We do not violate any international conventions and we do not violate EU legislation, which we have jointly decided on, but we stay within its framework and protect the right to asylum.

But we settle on the EU's minimum level because you have caused such gigantic problems that we cannot do anything else, says Jimme Åkesson.
