To solve a problem, you must first understand it.

It is with these words that

Greta Thunberg

opens this

Great Book of the climate

, a choral work which brings together the texts of a hundred experts on the subject.

The project is ambitious.

It's about providing everyone with the information they need to understand the climate crisis as a whole.

The book is thus divided into several chapters for educational purposes: "How the climate works", "The planet is changing before our eyes", "What impacts on humanity" or "What must be done now".

The contributions of guest authors are sometimes dense, but always very well explained.

They draw up a general picture, from physics to economics, supported by numerous graphs, to end up with a brilliant summary of the state of science today, which shows us the magnitude of the challenge to be met, a task too often underestimated.

A challenge whose stakes are clearly set out.

In doing so, Greta Thunberg and the contributors to this

Great Climate Book

are also passing on some responsibility for its resolution.

"We can't say we didn't know", we are used to hearing, this is all the more true after reading this book, which ultimately only clearly sets out to as many people as possible what scientists have already known for decades.

His goal with the “Great Climate Book” was to make a book that all generations can read.
