Sergei Kutkov from the Donetsk People's Republic has Russian citizenship, but until February 2022 he visited Russia on short trips, mainly for work.

In the DPR, his beloved, Victoria Pyanykh, was waiting for him, the couple has been in a relationship for five years.

“We have known each other since 2012, we lived in the same village,” Victoria recalls.

- In 2017, we started walking together, a relationship began.

We moved in two months later.

They expected to get married this year, but it didn’t work out: in February, Seryozha once again came to the DPR from Russia, and he was called to fight.”

The couple did not manage to get married in any way - Kutkov ended up at home either for a day or two, or on weekends.

And in early September - that month, he and Victoria planned to finally get married - Sergey was seriously wounded in battle.

“He called, said only that he was injured, and the connection was lost.

It turned out that after being wounded, he was transferred to a hospital in Simferopol, and from there to the Moscow region.

We arrived there on September 29 with his mother, found out where he was lying, ”explains Victoria.

The man was badly injured: he had to amputate both legs, there are severe burns on his back, he cannot see one eye, there are shrapnel wounds, says Pyanykh.

The injuries sustained by his beloved did not frighten his bride - she decided to stay with Sergei and continue to care for him in the military hospital named after.

Vishnevsky.

The mother of the military wrote a statement in the hospital for Victoria to take care of her son - the woman herself cannot stay in the Moscow region for a long time.

Since then, Victoria has been constantly next to her common-law husband, caring for him.

She claims that she cannot leave the hospital - if she leaves, she will not be allowed back in.

Difficulties with filing documents

Victoria and Sergey's mother tried to solve the problem at the Krasnogorsk registry office - they hoped that they could be signed so that Victoria would remain in the hospital already in the status of the patient's wife.

However, it turned out that it is possible to submit documents for marriage only during a personal visit - or by issuing powers of attorney from a notary.

“I went to the registry office with our passports - mine and his.

We were told that if we agreed at the hospital, they would come and marry there.

The head physician did not object, but another problem arose, ”says the interlocutor of RT.

“It turned out that it was necessary to notarize the documents, come with them to the registry office, write applications, and they will be considered there for another month - and only after that they will be able to sign us.”

According to Victoria, in a month Sergei may well be discharged from Vishnevsky's hospital and transferred to another branch.

In this case, it will be necessary to re-negotiate with the registry office about the place where they will have to marry, and the new hospital may be located in another region.

Sergei himself, in an interview with RT, confirmed that he had long wanted to marry Victoria, they were planning a wedding even before he was called to the front in the DPR.

The man added that now the bride is helping him a lot in the hospital and he hopes that she will be able to stay with him.

Transfer to another hospital

Now Victoria stays with Sergey in a military hospital in Krasnogorsk.

The girl stated that she was in the hospital "on bird's rights" - she could not leave the medical facility, because then they would not be able to let her back in.

“If we got married, I could sometimes leave the hospital to see the child - I have a child from my first marriage, he is now with relatives,” Victoria is upset.

Sergei's relatives, who spoke with RT, are perplexed why a man cannot meet halfway and consider documents for marriage in a simplified mode.

“How can this be?

He is a hero, he fought there, was injured, left without legs, all burned, even lying down hurts him.

And the girl turned out to be so good, she didn’t leave him, she came to look after him.

They should help him in the registry office, but they offer to come in order to get them signed up faster, ”Kutkov’s relative Andrey is indignant.

RT sent a request to the Krasnogorsk registry office with a request to help young people get married as soon as possible, but did not receive a prompt response.
