The weather will be calm on Wednesday across the country with temperatures that will remain high for the end of October, forecasts Météo France.

From the Gulf of Morbihan to Brittany and the Cotentin, the sky will be overcast throughout the day, giving light rains becoming rarer over the hours.

Driven by a south-easterly wind blowing up to 60 to 70 km/h, the low clouds will be tenacious and without much change from the Roussillon plain, from Languedoc to the Cévennes and the lower Rhône valley.

Over the rest of the country, the sky will alternate between clearings and passages of high clouds, sometimes dense.

Up to 28 degrees in the southwest

The southerly wind will reach 60 to 70 km/h from the tip of Brittany to the Côte d'Opale in the morning then ease off significantly in the afternoon.

The gusts from the southern sector, also from 60 to 70 km / h in the morning, will drop significantly from midday.

Temperatures will remain high for the period.

At daybreak, the thermometer will show 10 to 15 degrees inland, 14 to 16 on the Channel coasts and the Atlantic coast and 15 to 19 on the Mediterranean coast.

The maximum will reach 19 to 24 degrees over the northern half of the country, from 24 to 26 further south with peaks of around 27 to 28 in the south-west, in the interior of Provence.
