The PSOE is going to request a third and final extension in the processing of the Trans Law -which has generated an intense debate within the party itself- against the criterion of United We Can, which wanted the process to start as soon as possible.

For this new postponement, the formation of Patxi López will predictably have the support of the PP and Vox at the Congress Table.

The intention of the Socialists is to present their amendments to the text initially agreed upon in the Council of Ministers on Monday to try to give it "legal certainty", since they assume that the parties located on the right-wing bench will denounce it in court.

The new extension promoted by the PSOE will once again have the outright rejection of United We Can, which is outraged by this lengthening of the processing times.

To begin with, because the sources consulted already consider it impossible to comply with the calendar that the Ministry of Equality had proposed to reach the end of the year with the Trans Law approved by Congress.

In United We Can there is no other than resignation, since the PSOE has enough votes with PP and Vox to impose as many extensions as it wants in the Congress Table.

In any case, the discomfort within the purple space is notorious.

In fact, the calls made by the different spokespersons for Podemos, as well as from the Ministry of Equality, were emphasizing that the deadline for amendments had to be closed.

This Tuesday Pablo Echenique pointed it out explicitly at a press conference, where he warned that a new delay in time implied that trans people "would suffer discrimination more intensely for a longer time."

"Every day that passes and this law is not approved, this situation of violation of Human Rights continues," he warned.
