Hyundai Motor Company started building an electric vehicle-only plant in the US earlier than planned.

It seems to have had an impact on the implementation of an inflation-reducing law that only subsidizes electric vehicles made in the United States.

Ambassador Cho Tae-yong, who attended the groundbreaking ceremony, urged an early resolution of the electric vehicle discrimination clause, saying that it does not help Korea-US cooperation as well as climate response.
