The officials of a Muslim school in Valence (Drôme) filed a complaint by mail on Monday against the prefect of the Department for slanderous denunciation.

The Association Valeurs et Réussites, in charge of the establishment installed within the mosque of the city, had already filed a complaint against X for discrimination, recalls France Bleu Drôme Ardèche.

At the beginning of October, the sale of land allowing the school to expand had indeed been canceled by the Town Hall, after an appeal from the prefecture.

The transaction had however been voted and a compromise had been signed.

The revocation of the sale came after the evocation, last July, of links between Values and Successes and the Muslim Brotherhood.

The association had denied any affiliation with the radical movement.

The new complaint is based on a letter sent by the prefect of Drôme to the mayor of Valence, at the end of July, and consulted by Valeurs et Réussites.

The letter mentions "the dynamics of community confinement" and affirms that the school officials "are the subject of the greatest attention [...] by state services in the name of the fight against separatism", assure the complainants.
