New gun drama in the United States.

A gunman killed two people and injured seven at a high school in central Missouri before being shot dead by law enforcement, local police said Monday morning.

An adult woman and a young girl died and several other people were injured, St. Louis Police Chief Mike Sack said.

The agents, who came to the scene after an emergency call, exchanged fire with the assailant, who was hit and succumbed to his injuries, according to the same source.

Identity not established

“The suspect appears to be around 20 years old” and his identity has not yet been definitively established, said MMike Sack.

Shootings, especially in schools, are a scourge in the United States.

In May, a teenager killed 19 schoolchildren and two female teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

On Monday, an American teenager who last year killed four students at his Michigan high school with a gun given to him by his parents, pleaded guilty.
