Six alleged car traffickers will be tried on November 23 before the Pontoise court (Val-d'Oise).

One of them has been remanded in custody.

They are suspected of having committed ten vehicle thefts and four attempted thefts in Ile-de-France.

All live in a housing estate in Chelles (Seine-et-Marne).

They were arrested on October 19 by the research section of Versailles and the gendarmes of Val-d'Oise.

Shipped to Africa

The suspects aged between 19 and 30 would have stolen Peugeot 2008 and 3008, Toyota RAV 4 and Citroën DS7 in the Ile-de-France departments, details La Gazette du Val-d'Oise.

Then, the SUVs would have been sold to fences installed in northern Europe, in particular in Belgium and Germany.

Then the vehicles would have been placed in containers and sent by boat to Africa.

During the arrest of the six accused, the police carried out searches.

They got their hands on four stolen cars, narcotics and 3,000 euros in cash.
