The weather on Tuesday: generally dry with occasional showers near the Channel and the Atlantic

The weather will be calmer on Tuesday but showers will still cross the country from the Atlantic coast to the northeast, forecasts Météo-France.

From Normandy to Hauts-de-France, the Paris region and the Grand-Est, the atmosphere will be very gray in the morning under many low clouds and a few drops will be possible near the Channel coasts or the northern borders.

In the afternoon, this grayness will gradually subside but the sky will remain very cloudy.

At the very end of the day, temporary rains will return.

Over Brittany, the sky will be overcast and temporary showers will be possible from the start of the morning.

On the rest of the northern half, apart from fog in the Val de Saône, the weather will be bright and calm in the morning, then the sky will become cloudy.

To the south, clouds will dominate in the morning.

On the Mediterranean shores maritime entries will return.

During the afternoon, from the Pays de Loire to the north of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Centre-Val-de-Loire, the weather will become increasingly cloudy and heavy, locally stormy showers will be possible.

At the end of the day, these rains will circulate towards the northeast.

From the Belgian border to Auvergne and Bourgogne Franche-Comté showers, even a few thunderclaps, will occur.

The southerly wind will strengthen again on the crests of the Pyrenees, reaching 70 to 90 km/h in gusts in the middle mountains, sometimes 60 to 70 km/h in the valleys.

Minimum temperatures will be between 8 and 14 degrees over most of the country, between 13 and 18 degrees over the extreme south of the country.

The maximum will be between 17 and 22 degrees over the northern half of the country, between 22 and 27 degrees in the south, but from 25 to 29 degrees over the south of Aquitaine and the west of Occitanie, the south of PACA , up to 29 or 30 in Corsica.
