In connection with the partial mobilization announced in Russia, the legislators asked the government to provide the official position of the Cabinet of Ministers on the proposal to amend the legislation governing the process of mobilization training and mobilization in the country.
“In terms of granting a deferral for men who have two dependent children under the age of 16 and a pregnant wife whose pregnancy is at least 22 weeks,” the appeal says.

18 of the Federal Law "On mobilization training and mobilization in the Russian Federation" defines the categories of citizens who fall under the deferment from the call for mobilization.
Among them are men with four or more dependent children under the age of 16, three children under the age of 16 and a wife who is at least 22 weeks pregnant, federal legislators, etc.
Earlier, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that more than 9.5 thousand fathers with many children were recalled from military units, decisions on their mobilization were canceled.
