The Deputy Director of the Sharjah American International Private School, Umm Al Quwain, Mona Serhal, said that the administration decided not to allow students of all grades to go out to the outdoor yards during the beginning of the eclipse, and they will be directed to stay in their classrooms and wait for buses to return to their homes while educating them about the importance of not looking at the sun. To avoid its dangers during the eclipse.

She explained: “Students who are waiting for their families from the classrooms will also be prevented from leaving the classrooms, and they will be kept in the school’s internal building to wait for their families to come in person to pick them up, taking care to educate them not to look at the sun when they leave the school, adding that the administration will be keen tomorrow morning to educate Students are exposed to the phenomenon of eclipses and the dangers of looking at the sun with the naked eye.

For his part, an administrator at Al-Hikma Private School in Ajman, who preferred not to be named, said that the administration will allocate the morning assembly to talk about the phenomenon of eclipses, its dangers, and how and why it occurs, through teachers of scientific subjects and Islamic education.

He explained that the end of school hours will be 13 minutes after the beginning of the eclipse, and therefore the focus will be on the importance of students not going out to the outdoor yards or looking at the sun with the naked eye, in addition to educating students who use school buses and their parents’ vehicles not to look at the sun while returning home from the windows.

The director of Al Shula School in Sharjah, Ibrahim Baraka, indicated that the administration will educate students about the eclipse phenomenon and its dangers by conducting a visit for some students to the Sharjah Astronomy Center in coordination with the competent authorities in order to follow up on the eclipse case with specialists, as part of the scientific materials that students receive during the study. As a phenomenon taught to students in scientific subjects.

He explained that the advice of specialists to educate students not to look at the sun with the naked eye during the eclipse phenomenon will be followed after school, to preserve their health.
