Last year, 20 people were injured in Västerbotten where A-tractors were involved, statistics from the Swedish Transport Agency show.

This is a big increase compared to how it looked in 2019, when only 4 people were injured.

And in just a few weeks, four young people have died in road accidents in the country where A tractors have been involved.

In Lycksele municipality, there are over 200 registered A-tractors.

Young people who drive want to see the rules changed.

- Maybe we should be allowed to drive 45 km/h like moped cars, then there is less risk of people tuning the A-tractors, says Klara Staaf.

The Lycksele municipality has received a lot of complaints when the young people gather in different places with their A-tractors and play loud music.

It has also happened that they are driven away.

"Feel painted out"

Therefore, the municipality has now prepared a meeting place where the young people can drive around and play loud music.

- It is clear that they too should have meaningful free time like other young people in sports or culture, says Niklas Karlsson, youth coordinator.

- There are many who have opinions about their behavior in society, the young people themselves feel portrayed as a problem in society.

We think it's an unvarnished image and that's why we're building this place where they can be and do what they think is fun, says Niklas Karlsson, youth coordinator.

Lycksele municipality has set aside one million kroner for the construction of the meeting place in Furuvik, and the idea is that it will be ready and inaugurated by the summer during motor week.

In the video, you hear young people about the new meeting place and about the accidents that have happened.
