Region Västernorrland learned on Friday that an employee was wrongly declared dead by a person who claimed to be a doctor at the hospital in Örnsköldsvik.
But after an own investigation, the region was able to establish that the information was incorrect.
- No doctor with that name has worked in Region Västernorrland, either as an employee or hired, says Krister Bjermert, who is operations manager for the regional management administration.
The region is now reporting the incident to the police.
